Here’s something fun to try this weekend/whenever you’re bored – browser homepages from google. Granted, they’ve been out for a while, but in case you’re a late adopter like me, they’re quite fun!
The major benefit of using iGoogle as your homepage is widgets – there’s a growing library of widgets you can add to your iGoogle page like email, rss feeds, fancy clocks, a google calendar widget, etc. My favorite widget is a scripture memory tool, which progressively hides words of a verse you are trying to memorize over the week. You can even organize your widgets in multiple tabs.
iGoogle also has features themes! Recently they started adding game themes, which got my attention. They have a “Theme of the day” option which auto changes your theme daily. I’ve got “Game of the day” picked, so I get to experience a new game theme every day
.
