Status updates: Twitter/facebook status updates are great, maybe even emailing your close friends about the blog. One thing to try is status updates on blog posts, and having updates at different times of the day to catch different people. Putting a link to your blog in your email signature is almost a must-do :P 2. Community: Reading & Commenting on other people's blogs is huge.
